Alfred Marsh Sanders, Jr., CFP®, MBA

Al Sanders grew up in North Carolina as the oldest of four boys in an active family of scouting and travel camping.  His desire for variety resulted in a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado and a MS in Industrial Administration from Purdue University.  He spent 30+ years working for Exxon Mobil in an executive career primarily implementing organizational changes often with new computer systems.  After retiring in 1998, he began a new career adventure by founding Valued Retirements to put his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER (CFP®) designation to work with a desire to help individuals and families transition well into retirement.  Al and his wife, Mickey, have resided primarily in Houston for 50+ years, where they raised their daughter and have been close to their two grandsons.  Al is a member of the Memorial Drive Presbyterian Church, serves as a Trustee for the University of Colorado Foundation, and has long served as a volunteer at the United Way of Greater Houston.
